Stopping Supplements Before Your Blood Test
To ensure reliable and interpretable results, we recommend stopping dietary supplements 3 days (72 hours) before your blood test.
Stop 72 hours (3 days) before the test
Vitamins such as B12, D, and C;
Minerals such as magnesium, zinc, and iron;
Omega-3 and fish oil supplements;
Adaptogens such as ashwagandha or rhodiola;
Probiotics, powdered superfoods, and similar supplements.
You can continue
Prescribed medications from your doctor, such as thyroid or blood pressure treatments;
Any ongoing medical treatments.
If you forgot to stop supplements
There is no need to worry;
Some markers, such as vitamin B12, may be temporarily elevated;
Our physicians take this into account when interpreting your results.
