What wearable data does Lucis use, and how?

What data Lucis reads from your wearable

When you connect a wearable, Lucis reads a focused set of sleep, recovery, and activity signals, around 14 in total. These are the ones with a clear health meaning and a place in your plan:

  • Resting heart rate, both during the day and during sleep

  • Heart rate variability, both during the day and during sleep

  • Sleep efficiency and sleep latency (how long you take to fall asleep)

  • Time in bed, awake time, and the number of times you wake during the night

  • Daily steps and floors climbed

  • Stress level

  • Skin temperature

  • VO2 max, an estimate of your aerobic fitness

Where you see it

Each metric appears within the biological system it relates to, as one of the factors driving that system's score: a gauge showing your value against a healthy range, with a short explanation of what it means and why it matters. For now this is a snapshot of where you stand today. A history or trend view is not available yet.

How Lucis uses it

Your wearable data does more than sit on your dashboard. It feeds into your health score and your personalised protocol, alongside your blood biomarkers and your questionnaire answers. Your everyday sleep, recovery, and activity help shape the recommendations you receive.

How the value is calculated

Rather than reacting to a single night or a single reading, Lucis takes the median of your measurements over a large time window, and only records a value once there are enough data points for it to carry real clinical meaning. This smooths out one-off spikes and dips so the number reflects a stable signal rather than noise.

How fresh is the data?

Because the value is a median over a large window, your metrics refresh regularly rather than in real time, so a value can be up to about a week behind what your device shows. When you first connect a device, it can also take a few hours for the initial data to appear.
