Does Lucis take diet specific into account?

Can Lucis Take My Diet and Food Sensitivities Into Account?

Yes.

During your Lucis journey, you can indicate your dietary preferences and constraints in the platform questionnaire.

This information is fully integrated into the interpretation of your results.

Can Lucis detect lactose intolerance?

No.

Lactose intolerance is caused by an enzyme deficiency (lactase) and cannot be diagnosed with a standard blood test.

However, Lucis can help explore digestive context by analysing:

  • Digestive sensitivities through IgG testing (Care plan);

  • The gut microbiome;

  • Possible associated deficiencies such as calcium, vitamin D, or vitamin B12.

What about gluten?

Several distinct situations exist:

  • Celiac disease, which requires specific medical testing outside of Lucis;

  • Wheat allergy, diagnosed via IgE testing;

  • Non-celiac gluten sensitivity, for which no validated biological marker currently exists.

A positive IgG response to gluten (Care plan) may suggest a sensitivity, but:

  • It is not diagnostic on its own;

  • Results are always interpreted within a broader clinical and personal context.

Is Lucis suitable for vegetarian or vegan diets?

Yes.

Vegetarian and vegan diets are fully compatible with Lucis.

Key biomarkers commonly monitored include:

  • Vitamin B12;

  • Iron and ferritin;

  • Vitamin D;

  • In some cases, omega-3 fatty acids.

Dietary information is entered through the platform questionnaire, not at the laboratory.

Is Lucis compatible with a ketogenic (keto) diet?

Yes.

A ketogenic diet can influence:

  • Lipid profile;

  • Glucose and insulin levels;

  • Certain inflammatory markers.

Lucis helps monitor these parameters to better understand the metabolic impact of this type of diet over time.

Are results personalised based on my diet?

Yes.

  • All results are reviewed by the Lucis medical team;

  • Interpretations take into account your diet, health goals, and personal context.

Lucis does not replace medical consultations, but provides a structured and contextualised analysis that can be shared with your doctor or healthcare professional.
